In a new step toward enhancing innovation and flexibility in digital banking services, the Commercial International Bank (CIB) Egypt has launched a new update for its “CIB Mobile Banking” app, introducing the “Linked Accounts” feature. This feature allows customers to manage accounts associated with their own—such as children’s accounts or joint accounts—easily and securely, without the need to share login credentials for each account.

This step reflects CIB’s ongoing commitment to delivering a fully integrated and secure digital banking experience that aligns with customers’ needs and provides them with greater control over their financial management.

What is the “Linked Accounts” feature?

The new feature allows customers to link and monitor accounts associated with them—whether through power of attorney, minor accounts, or joint accounts—directly from the Mobile Banking App. This can be done through simple and secure steps, without needing to log in separately to each account.

How to link accounts through the app:

       Log in to the CIB Mobile Banking App.        Go to the “Profile” section, then select “Linked Accounts.”      Click “Add” and enter the required details (customer’s name, relationship type, date of birth – for minor accounts, and the linked account number).  Accept the terms and conditions and confirm the request.   The bank will review the request within one business day. Once approved, the account will be automatically added.

What happens after linking?

Once the link is activated, the associated accounts will appear on the main dashboard of the customer’s app. Customers can smoothly switch between them and perform transfers as needed using the OTP linked to the primary account.

Through this update, CIB reinforces its commitment to simplifying financial account management for individuals and families. It continues to offer smart, digital solutions tailored to customers’ lifestyles—without paperwork or branch visits.
